Let me introduce myself
Hey! I'm Emily, a photographer and tutor based in a sleepy seaside town near Margate, Kent. Creativity has always been part of who I am — from colouring and crafting as a kid to selling origami frogs in the playground (my first business venture!)
Education
Photography first caught my eye during my exam years and never let go. I studied at the University for the Creative Arts and Kingston University, where I earned my BA in Photography. Those years gave me space to explore, experiment, and turn my passion into a profession

Building the dream...
After graduating, I poured my energy into two passions — photography and education. I now run this business alongside The Darkroom at Beach Creative, a space for learning and community.
With eight years behind the camera at weddings, I love capturing genuine emotion and the quiet beauty that makes each story unique.

My approach
I work 99% candidly (though there’s always time for those essential group and couples shots).
For me, photography isn’t about stiff poses, it’s about connection, emotion, and the beauty of real life.
I blend quietly into the background, letting you be yourself while I capture the laughter, the glances, and the in-between moments that tell your story.
When needed, I'm happy to give you light prompts so you can ease into the moment.
My goal is simple: to create honest, timeless images that feel as real as the moment itself.
other bits...
At this point, photography is my world — but when I’m not behind the lens, you’ll find me outdoors either camping, hiking, sea swimming, running, I love it all! Curious to see the world through my eyes? Explore my portfolio and take a look at some of my favourite stories I’ve captured
